Research Department faculty members maintain well-funded research programs in several focus areas. Graduate and undergraduate students have opportunities to conduct research with some of the most well-respected scientists in their field. Climate science is applicable to many different majors and fields, and this major allows students with interests ranging from agriculture to political science to apply climate science to their current focus. Our Earth, Wind, and Fire Learning Community helps students build strong connections with their peers, as do our active student clubs. Our American Meteorological Society student chapter has won the Student Chapter of the Year Award five times and frequently receives Honor Roll status. Our summer geology field camp in northwestern Wyoming has a long and outstanding tradition of experiential learning.
